BDZ or Bulgarian State Railways – controls the network of more than 4,000 km of track. Most of the lines pass through picturesque places, so a railway trip is a great feature to explore this beautiful country. The first 223 km long railway line Ruse-Razgrad-Varna was built in 1865. The construction carried out by a British company. The electrification of the railway began only in 1963.
At the moment, BDZ offers passengers four types of service – local, regional, regional express and long-distance / international. All these types of services are shown on my map using different colours. You will find all functioning stations.
