Background
Yes, I agree, the title of the article is quite provocative, but in light of recent events, namely the aggression of Nazi russia against Ukraine, as well as against the entire civilized world, we have been given a clear signal for action. Russia is a fascist aggressive state that must be divided into parts to lower its danger, and all the lands annexed by this aggressor-country must be returned to their owners.
One of these annexed territories lays between two countries – Poland and Lithuania. Its historical name is East Prussia, a part of the former Kingdom of Prussia. After the Second World War, nazi russia (the so-called USSR) did not liberate this territory, but, along with the Baltic countries (Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia), occupied it and in 1947-1948 forcibly expelled the entire indigenous population (mainly of German origin) from East Prussia. Afterwards, this territory was named Kaliningrad Oblast and it became the westernmost territory of nazi russia.
It is no secret that any piece of land, any city, anything that will get to the hands of citizens of nazi russia, will always turn into a garbage dump, into an exclusion zone. The same happened with East Prussia and still happens nowadays – in Ukraine, Georgia, Syria, Moldova, Finland etc.
Do not forget to try to find information about the genocide in the Prussian town of Rossel (Rößel, Roessel, nowadays is a part of Poland), where the russian army committed indescribable atrocities – raped children of all ages and both sexes, raped women of any age and many raping and humiliating victims were killed by russian nazists. Of course, no one has ever been responsible for this. By the way, in the Bundestag (German parliament) this issue was raised repeatedly by some political parties, but Germany feels guilty for what was done during the Second World War, so this question was always hushed up. Thanks to the fact that we were all silent about this, nazi russia is doing now the same in Ukraine. It is terrible to imagine that we will find out about the other atrocities of the russian citizens!
So, what we can do with the so-called Kaliningrad region?
1. First of all, the russian army must leave the region of East Prussia immediately and without any compromise. All military objects must go through the process of conversion into objects for civilian needs to perform complete demilitarization process.
2. After complete demilitarization, it is necessary to return all land plots to their legal owners or descendants of the owners, regardless of nationality and ethnicity. The state as of 1939 is to be taken as a starting point.
3. To force the nazi russia to pay all land reparations to plot owners, as well as compensation for the genocide of local inhabitants.
5. All citizens of nazi russia who have arrived the region since 1945 must be obliged to leave the territory of East Prussia and return to their places of original residence on the territory of nazi russia. The special commission of the EU Council must evaluate the status of those russian citizens, who has born in the region after 1945.
6. All toponyms (names of settlements, stations etc.) must be completely renamed into historical names with priority for names in the Prussian language. Not a single toponym in the Russian language must be left.
7. The railway infrastructure must be converted to the European standard gauge. If possible, restore all historical buildings and infrastructure at the expense of nazi russia.
8. To determine the status of East Prussia as a free demilitarized state within the European Union, as well as the status of a free economic zone. To avoid any economic or ethnic disputes, do not tie this state and its economy to any EU state or outside it.
Okay, okay, let’s get back to the toponyms and the railway. I was able to find the historical names of the inhabited areas of East Prussia and I have created for you a sketch of the railway diagram for your imagination. Enjoy!
