Jekabpils is a small town 150 km from the capital of Latvia. This beautiful town is divided by the river of Daugava and historically it has two names for each of both parts – Krustpils (on the right bank) and Jekabpils on the opposite.
As per January 2020 census the population slightly exceeds 20.000 and was even greater in past years. The government-owned enterprise Jēkabpils Autoparks provide the public transportation services for the inner town and regionally.
