Chemnitz is a small Est-German city located in the federal state of Saxony. The authorities of this city decided to create a quite interesting and effective transit system, which, in addition to the municipal bus network, includes some tram lines, as well as 5 suburban lines, 3 of which were electrified. The commuter network named City-Bahn Chemnitz (Chemnitz City Rail) was established in 1997 and uses both tram and heavy rail track infrastructure. On the web, I found several route maps of the Chemnitz City Rail, but they all repeat the geographical curves of the lines, which makes the information less readable, so I decided to offer my own more compact version.
You can download the diagram for personal use for free, the only thing I kindly ask you is to visit and like my page on Facebook where you can contact me in case of any question or claim mistakes found on the network maps. If it is more comfortable for you please follow me on Twitter just to be always informed about new uploads. Thanks.
